The 2 new Panerai watches

I saw these two new beauties by Panerai in Bahrain during the Jewellery Arabia 2015 fair.

I've to say that I really loves them a lot.

In the pic L/R:
The new Pam617, My PP 5101G & Pam629

Setting aside so-called "DNA", those are two beauties for sure. It says a lot that you were impressed. Thank you for the picture.

The hand engraved 5101 is a work of art
The Panerai ... not a fan anymore

Way too many weird combinations. They have a few cases, a few dials, a few case materials and a few complications

They try to mix all these things and create over 600 references

Almost everything is called a limited edition ( sometimes only having another hand is good enough to call it the next LE)

Than these cheaper pieces they just released ( snap on case back) ... I don't understand it

Had quite a few but sold my last piece weeks ago

A pity, used to be a collectible brand ... but no longer for me

What does this have to do with the two posted watches??

Look, we get it, you've posted it a few times now. You no longer are a fan. Not clear why you still open threads and rant about things that are off topic.

Anyway, comparing the Patek to Panerai, or most any other mass produced brand, is a bit silly. That's tens of thousands of difference, and a different mission statement.

In my opinion, they each fill their niche well.

Agreed

And we'll said

As far as those 2 watches?

I think they are gorgeous.

But what do I know? I'm not some big shot fancy watch owner...

I love the 617

It would go well with my 233.... I prefer the case and dome of these (and 127, 217?) rather than the other popular pams like 372, 587

Well said my friend. You're absolutely right.

Panerai became in 2nd rank after Hublot in number of LEs. Before 3 years Panerai had some spirit which is completely lost.
