Rolex vs AP

AP royal oak chrono in rose gold on strap vs Rolex day date 2 full rose gold or Daytona full rose? What would you choose and why?

Rolex DD2. Because I like it better than the others.

Very hard choice. They are very different watches.

I really like the AP ROC but I think it looks best on a bracelet (steel or gold). That being said I Would go with the DD2

ROC on bracelet, if not Daytona.

Can you try all three at the same AD? That will really help.

These watches are so different from each other. I would spend some time deciding what type of watch I want first and how it fits my collection, and then decide brand model metal etc.

If you have other FULL gold in your collection, go for the AP. Otherwise, I'd get the DDII.

The weight of a gold case and bracelet is priceless.

Post this question in the AP sub forum too. You may get a different response. This particular forum is dedicated to Rolex enthusiasts who are very fond of bracelets. There is basically no way they will ever vote for a strap over a bracelet, especially when it is a Rolex on the bracelet.

I have owned both of those RG beauties and if just one then I would choose the DD2 for the magnificent President Bracelet.

I prefer AP but the ROC I only like in all RG.

I'd go DD2 or Daytona full RG.

DDII would be your best bang for your buck and out of those 3 the best looking one in my opinion. If you told me you wanted an AP RG on a bracelet thats a different story. But it also cost double the amount.

from everything I hear the AP is on higher level than rolex, better watchmaking, better design....thats why I guess there steel watches are priced almost as much as rolex gold watches..

DD2 for sure. It's a classic iconic piece and of course this is the Rolex forum, we're biased.
