Anyone have a Luminor and a SubC?

I am guessing since this is a Panerai subforum of the Rolex forum that the answer is yes. I would love to see some pictures (either wrists or side by sides) or stories from those that do.

I currently have a 560.

I am going to a two watch collection, and was initially thinking adding a Polar Explorer 2, since I am typically OCD about watch sizes being similar in a collection. With my 7.5" wrist, I have owned everything fro 38mm to 45.5mm, but I tend to not have dissimilar sizes in the same collection.

Does the SubC feel small when switching from the PAM?

Thanks
Greg

I own an 116610 and a PAM 233 and I think they compliment each other rather well.

I used to own a Sub and a GMT II BLNR but I found that they wore too similar on the wrist. I ended up trading the GMT for a PAM 233. I'm happy with the decision because I now have variety. Also, the whole strap culture with PAMs is so much fun.

I have a 7.25 in wrist and I only feel like the Sub is "small" after wearing the 233 for 1-2 weeks straight. But that feeling goes away after I wear the Sub for an hour or so. I personally think the Sub at 40mm is the perfect everyday size and feels more manageable on the wrist than the 233 as a daily. I find the smaller size a nice change after long stretches with the 233

I think Pam owners who also own a Rolex are more into changing straps although a little more difficult w/ out proper tools w/ a Rolex

This thread interests me. Rolex and Panerai. My favorites.

Hope a LVc is close enough....

Why not an older style sub and GMT too???

Why do Luminors get all the fun?????

And for disclosure, 6.5" wrist.

Hope this help...

Here are few wrist shots of my PAM000, PAM90, PAM270, Sub and YM(similar in size as the Sub). When I switch from a Panerai to the Sub or YM it feel small but once I have it on the wrist for the day that feeling goes away. Like everyone in this forum I just LOVE watches and I have a range that goes from 36mm to 46mm.

I first owned my SubC for a year (and absolutely loved it) and then recently just bought my first PAM a 104.

I love them both. My 104 gets more wrist time because I can wear it at work due to the fact the Panerai flies under the radar vs on Rolex on the wrist.

I'll try to post pics soon......

Recently changed my pam 111 for a 16710, but loved to have the Panerai and loved to have it in rotation with the SubC. Suit each other really well!

Rolex Deepsea and PAM 422

I own both the Deepsea and the PAM 422. Here's a funny story:

- the guys at Creed Boutique in NYC (awesome dudes) love the Deepsea. One of them owns a Rolex Steve McQueen so they knew their watches. They loved it when I brought my Deepsea over a few months ago.

- two nights ago I brought my fiancée with me, and the 422. They were very warm and congratulatory. THEN I showed them the 422. They practically SHRIEKED at the sight! So much gushing, they could not get over the detail, the size and proportions, and its overall execution. 422 is getting a lot of love these days.

422 is a beautiful piece. I almost picked one of those up last year at the flagship boutique in Florence. Now I can't decide if I want a 422 or 372 in the future.

in the same boat. just tried both on yesterday. the 372 felt just a bit smaller and sat just a bit more comfortably on the wrist. don't know if that's just my wrist though.

372 is a little bit lighter and flatter on the case bottom because it doesnt have the 3 day PR indicator. I think it should come down to if you like the seconds hand + PR indicator or the clean look of the 9.

I know which one I chose!

Nice choice with the black straps. You just convinced me to get those (pics look sharp!). I want to get the tobacco straps too for the 422.

The black straps make those rose gold hands really pop!

Thanks! Those pictures were from my wedding this fall and the strap is a 26/22 tapered OEM Gator with Ecru stitching from the OP Boutique. Had to pay retail + tax for it, but I bought it specifically for the wedding so no expenses were spared.

Congrats on the wedding! Thank for the tip on the strap. I am most likely wearing the 422 to my wedding as well, but I may just go tobacco. :)

Man your 422 looks sharp on that strap! And tux!

I have a PAM 510 and Sub in different sizes

The SubC doesn't come off as small for what it is after wearing the 510, probably because the Sub C has "fat lugs". For me, I found them both to be comfortable. I had a 42mm Explorer II for a short while, I found the case / dial / bezel to be a little too big for my wrist size to wear it comfortably.
