Changed my mind 3 times

Ok so I already own a SS Subby Date and added a bi-gold date just II to my collection which I'm not mad on to be fair. So after buying my wife a 18k gold president date just I really fancied a 18k Daytona. So.....I ordered one with a black dial then changed this to champagne which came in.

So I went to collect and wasn't as mad on the 18k all gold Daytona with the champagne dial than changed to a 18k sky dweller which looked amazing but then I started to get paranoid and knowing I would put this away and not use it at all I started to think can I justify a £32k watch to only be worn here and there.

So...(sorry guys this is long winded) I have settled on a white gold and platinum Yacht Master II which not only do I truly love but is also so understated that I know I will use it as a daily watch.

Did I make the right choice? I think so but would appreciate fellow members feedback before I collect....thanks in advance.

can't go wrong and the SS YMII is a great watch. personally I would have chosen this...would have gone better with your wife's president...

For 32 grand I would hope you wear it well and often so sounds like the YM2 is just the PM ticket!

Sounds like you're not too sure about this one either given the track record and the fact that you're asking for opinions. What I like or anyone else likes doesn't amount to a hill of beans John. Pull back a little and give it some serious thought. Try them all on if you haven't already done so. Eliminate those that don't do it for you. Whatever is left is the one for you.

Sounds like you got your watch.

If not, you can work a trade for another.

The "right choice" is the one you spring wood over........doesn't matter what this diverse and overly opinionated (yet, tons of great opinions) crowd has to say cuzz they ain't wearin it. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.

YM II is not really super understated. Guess it depends on your perspective though.

Thanks for me the understatement was because this watch is a special gift the white gold for me will blend in and be a lot more understated than the 18k Daytona or sky dweller I was also comparing.

And yes I had all three in my hands and tried on all three but the YMII has definitely won my heart. I'm picking it up next thirsdaynor Friday so will get some pics online when I do

Wow, if you think a YM II is understated then I'd hate to see your idea of bling.

Just sayin'

I believe this means that it's not obviously gold (yellow) and can easily be mistaken for stainless.

To OP, Congratulations on an amazing watch, btw. Can't wait to see the pictures!!!

Sounds to me like you should give it some time.
Keep looking until you're 100% all in or it'll just end up as a flip at a loss.

Great choice, I love the YMII in all white. I think it has the right amount of wrist presence you are looking for. But, just a question, the Skydweller in all white gold, what turned you away from that one? It's all white gold, with a nice white/ivory face as well.

Good question but for the the Skydweller in white looked to similar to my datejust II in terms of style and bezel etc but the YMII is as far away as a traditional looking Rolex in my opinion. I've gone and had a another look and it is 110% the right choice for me now.
