I can understand your problem, Jocke. Perhaps you should diversify with some Swiss and Japanese or Chinese types.

I see a couple of Dornblueth & Sohn references lumped into the mix. Great collection. Thanks for sharing.

I have been, myself, growing more interested some of the German manufacturers (I have always just assumed that it's "swiss made" or nothing). Lange's are out of my price range, but I have grown interested to learn more about Glashutte Original. They seem to be great value for money (like JWC) - are they just Lange's on a budget?
I made a pit stop in Hamburg and saw the gray dial/dark blue suede band Panomatic and have been intrigued by the brand since. There is something about German design/manufacturing that I have always been attracted to (Classic SL mercedes, etc.). Can anyone here provide a "primer" on the brand/quality etc. or historical or well-known issues that the watch may carry? Thanks. |

but lame puns aside, those are fantastic looking pieces. i love how german casebooks look with all that attention to quality. what is it i read somewhere? that close to 90% of the watch is handmade?
