Blancpain Aqua Lung Grande Date

So I came across this piece at an AD and was immediately drawn to it. I've never really seriously considered anything from the brand, and tend to stick with white metals, but this piece really has me reconsidering my usual preferences. What are everyone's thoughts on blancpain in general and this reference in particular? I've always liked the fifty fathoms but found them to be too big, so this piece at 40mm fits me much better.

Yeah the brushed case and big date are really nice, and the rubber strap and deployant are very comfortable.

But Im wondering if a black dial, black strap, and rose gold case make it tough to pull off with most of my wardrobe

Also, some sources have said both the rose gold and steel versions were limited editions, while others say only the steel version was limited. Anyone know for sure?

Contacted VC, only the steel version was a limited edition. Any other thoughts on the watch?

Blancpain Aqua Lung Grande Date

Great looking watch. I owned this model a few years ago and foolishly sold it. I am reasonably sure this model has been discontinued even though it is on Blancpain's website. The steel version was a LE of 2005 pieces and I am sure it is no longer available. This is a very well made and classy watch. Great movement it winds as smooth as butter. Classy piece.

The color combo is very in the moment but not sure if it will age well.
