Rolex 1500, need help, first buy!!
This is my firt post.
I was offered this Rolex 1500 (circa 1969) I will see it by myself tomorrow. My question is, could you tell from the pictures if this is a fake? Most of the 1500 (roman numbers) I saw had the 12 in roman number above the crown and this has the crown instead of the 12 number, is this ok? What should I look for above from serial number? Thanks!!! Diego |

Watch looks authentic to me. Since you didn't show us any pictures of the bracelet clasp, I cannot tell you about the bracelet.

Welcome to TRF and ref 1500 is good reference to start. It is only 34mm but extremely comfortable to wear due to the slimmer case. You will love it!

I finally didn´t keep it, seems too small to me. I went to another place and they show me a 15200, I think I will get it, it looks way better (to me) than the 1500, much better condition and it is USD 400 more expensive. Any toughts??

Dial it is a refinished one, as it should have a small rolex coronet below 12.

I wear a 1501 and its really comfortable, I also wear a milgauss and that thing feels like a tank compared to it. But I love both of them.
