That's awful. Can you share any of the details that might help. Home invasion or robbery? We're other things taken that might accompany the effort to fence the watch? Very sorry as this shit's happening way too often for my liking.

Update
Thank you for all of your concerns. I am devastated as this one was a milestone piece for me. It wasn't only the money. Today would have been one month since my purchase. I was walking home from a restaurant Friday evening alone in downtown Fort Lauderdale and was approached by a black female that was very flirty with me. I declined her numerous attempts to have a drink with her and asked her to leave me alone. I am happily in a relationship and was with my girlfriend earlier in the night and she went back to our home early to get some rest and I was with a couple of buddies for a night cap. The more I declines I gave her the more aggressive, she got to the point where she was putting her arms around me and groping me. That is when I pushed her off and said leave me alone. At that point she left and I continued my walk home (a total of max 200 yards from the restaurant to my home) and looked to see what time it was and noticed my watch missing! Then look in my pocket and missing two checks, missing that I went to deposit earlier before dinner but the ATM was out of order. We called the police that night and we are waiting to hear from the detective assign to my case. Yesterday I got a call from an officer that recovered one of the checks in a public bathroom several blocks away and said that someone called in to report a lost check. He has since submitted into evidence and notified the person working in my case. I hope they get fingerprints. I'm so upset that I'm offering a $5,000 reward!!
