Was the 36mm Explorer discontinued at the end of 2010?
Am I correct in believing that the 36mm Rolex Explorer was last sold new in December 2010?
This was when the 214270 replaced the 114270, and the case increased from 36mm to 39mm. Are there any current Rolex watches with a 36mm dial and Mercedes hands? |

Yes discontinued at around that time but not sure the exact date. And it was replaced by the 39mm. In my opinion the 36mm looks better but there's a lot of debate on which looks better. You can get it pre owned or very rarely New Old Stock.

I have not seen a current model 36mm with Mercedes hands. However, there was a stainless 36mm 116000 for sale on eBay awhile back wherein the owner had the service center replace the stock hands with Explorer 1 hands. It looked great and I should have bought it when I had the chance.
