Vintage Gmt 1675

I have my dads vintage GMT 1675, he bought it new.It is a serial number 1,63X,XXX with the small arrow head hand. I have looked at different serial number sites and gotten different years on it. Does anyone know what production year that watch would be?
thanks

It should be 1967 I expect. Should be a mark 1 dial which is quite distinctive. Post pics if you can.

Check the last post in this thread. The "Reference Section" has some great info in it.

a lot of the 1.6 have the small arrow hand. Rolex was using up stock before larger arrow hand became norm & many have been changed during service to the larger hand. Cool inheritance. Inserts been changed but its still a great looking GMT.

Oh my. That's worth a bunch. That insert alone drives a premium. Nice watch.

My dad told be years ago the bezel insert is the original from the factory.. he bought the watch brand new.. only braclet might have been changed out because it was stretched out

could be, it looks thinner in your scan but not all early gmt's had the thicker fonts insert. It should still have the red back and there are variations in fonts.

great little watch in any case.

Great looking piece! Any chance we could get another image of the watch near a window w/ indirect sunlight? The low light isn't doing this watch its full justice!

That should really let the watch shine in terms of the insert, the dial etc. Again, congrats!
