Ceramic Diver pic request + other questions

I am in the market for a used Ceramic Diver and previously posted a question about the relative comfort of the Ceramic vs SS Diver. I owned a SS Diver an liked it a lot but never loved it, however I am convinced I will love the Ceramic version

It would really be helpful to see some side-by-side pics of the Ceramic and SS Divers, on or off the wrist. Can anyone help me by posting some?

A few other questions.

Is it true that the Ceramic Diver was only sold through AP boutiques and not ADs?

Will the ROO Rubberclad tapered strap and buckle fit the Diver case and plots?

I know there is no right answer to this but ... does anyone think a Diver is too much watch or too out of place as a daily watch in a business casual (i.e. no suit) environment? I love the watch but sometimes wonder if wearing a hulking block of SS or Ceramic that is designed for deep ocean exploration day to day at a desk and around the house is a bit of a poseur move….like driving a Zonda in downtown London (although I wish I could afford to!).

First off no, ADs could order the Diver ceramic. I owned one that was ordered through an AD.

Second, no the diver is not too much for day to day in a casual environment. Frankly it is not really a tool for deep ocean exploration any more than a remote control airplane is a tool for exploring Mars.

Third, a zonda is right at home in downtown London. It's a carbon fiber covered piece of art for someone who can afford to make a statement. What better place to make that statement

In summation, I felt the diver was at home poolside at a luxury hotel while I had it. It's no diving tool that's for sure lol one crack on the rocks and you are out 5k+

I really like the Ceramic Diver but do think it wouldn't be your best choice as an everyday watch in business casual. It will be difficult for shirt sleeves to go over the watch and honestly, all black watches will look a lot less formal.

I would look at a 44SS for not much more if you are set on a ROO. You would have the same issue with the shirt sleeve, but the watch overall would look much better with dress shirts. Just my 2 cents.

I haven't tried a 44mm ROO on my wrist but I have owned two 42mm ROOs and don't want to go any bigger than that. I have a 7.25" wrist.

Do you have an S14 with an SR20 ;) ?

Maybe this can help you decide, I used to own SS Diver in the past and decided to move to Ceramic. Never regret, I like black finish watch more than SS and the weight is a bit lighter than SS.

42mm ROO tapered strap does fit with Diver.

What a beauty!

What kind of buckle are you using with the ROO 42mm tapered rubber strap? In your photo it looks the same as the original Diver buckle but narrower.

It's strap for ROO 42mm and its buckle. This strap set up is more comfortable on small wrist. It can bent more at lug end.

I had the SS diver. Never loved it. Thought I would love the AP Ceramic Diver, so I bought one, but did not.

R332,
S Cameron IS indeed using a Roo strap, however he is using the "New 2014" style from the five watches released then, which is tapered to 20mm and uses a Tang buckle similar to Diver. However, Diver buckle is 24mm.
The one you're referring to, which I most prefer, is "The Classic" Roo rubber strap, which tapers down to 18mm for the folding deployant clasp.
Cheers!
PS. Yes, that one should fit too!
