POLL Results: Mercedes SL550 Vs. BMW M6
Interesting POLL I put up on Saturday evening...http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=453844 I knew we had a lot of BMW Fans here on TRF and thought it might go this way.
On Saturday when I left to buy a 2014 SL550 with 10K miles and drove it I was confused. The interior was not what I wanted and It just didn't feel right so I passed on it. My wife suggested we go drive a BMW. I had done No research and had not even wanted to look at a BMW since I am a Mercedes Guy! Got on the lot looked at everything and they happened to have a 2014 M6 with 154 miles on it. I drove it, liked it and the salesman said he thought he could get me a hell of a deal. Well, I was happy with the deal and bought the M6! What an Awesome Car!  Mine happens to have the Competition Package, Executive Package and the Bang & Olufsen Sound System.

Oh boy - you'll like that Comp Package. Not very common on a convertible. I'm guessing this was their demo?
The stiffer suspension will be great if you choose to track it just for grins. But since you also may want the comfort that the 550 has - I'd suggest leaving it out of sport or track modes while commuting, etc. On the Inter-bahn headed to Vegas, you'll really enjoy the way it handles at the higher speeds you will now be pushing. The control can fool you - you'll think you're doing 70 - and the radar guy you'll meet will show you 95+ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
