New Submariner Inner-strap - polished, not pebble-blasted
Hi All-
I just bought a new dateless Submariner, via my local Rolex Barron and Leeds store, at the end of December. I have come to realize that the inner metal on the strap, where the rolex logo is housed, is polished silver -- not pebble-blasted (rough metal with black logo engraving). Does anyone know why this is the case? Did Rolex perhaps change the band design? Thanks all! |

There have been some threads discussing this. Rolex made the transition gradually to the smooth clasp. It's just a cosmetic change.
