1665 service UK

Can anyone recommend a watch specialist in the UK that could carry out a service and pressure test on a 1665. What are people's thoughts on approaching Rolex at Bexley direct.

I had one of my Tudors in there (RSC)for some work and didn't have a good experience. I don't want to go into details, but let's just say the estimate was padded quite a bit. The work they actually did, however, was excellent.

Got sorted in the end, but took direct contact with the customer services head and quite a few phone calls.

Same here with my 1665, absolute joke, mine was stuffed not padded, hence finding Graham.

My understanding is that all 1665's now have to go back to Bexley.
Rolex will therefore not supply parts to their authorised repairers.
To do with.
1. Pressure testing to the correct depth.
2, Case refinishing with a new machine.

Not Bexley guys but RSC in Kent which is in Kings Hill it's a beautiful new building you can actually walk in and drop your watch off there at the service desk and you'll get a quote for service of any work that needs doing. Superb place I dropped my 1665 DRSD there for a movement service it's a very very reasonable approx £500 with an estimated 8week max wait time (extras ofcourse are seperate such as new bracelet etc ) - I'd go down that route personally as you will get full RSC warranty also and your expensive 1665 watch will have full spa treatment.

Many thanks for that piece of info. I agree re the benefit of having some official paperwork from Rolex as this all adds to the history of the watch. I shall take a trip over there next week sometime.
