prices of all Rolex models will increase on the 1st of February 2016? is it true?

Well, there is a global economic crisis, and yet this is the answer I received for Rolex Rolex Sabmrinr TT:

"he Rolex Submariner in Black Steel/Yellow gold you asked for with reference number 116613 97203 is part of our collection and in stock. (Subject to meantime sale). The High street price of the article amounts to 11,850 Euro and the Schiphol See Buy Fly price is 9,793 Euro.

Please note that the prices of all Rolex models will increase on the 1st of February 2016. The new High street price of the article amounts to 12,450 Euro and the new Schiphol See Buy Fly price will be 10,289 Euro.

Please send us your contact and flight information by e-mail so that we can reserve the article for you in the shop corresponding to the departure hall from which your flight will be taking off. For a reservation we kindly ask you to remit a deposit of 20% to our bank account or to pay this deposit in cash in one of our shops.

Prices can be modified without prior notice.

We look forward receiving your reply and trust we have informed you sufficiently for the moment."?

All speculation and sales tactics as a call to action. ADs don't even know in advance as far as I know

There will be a price increase effective from 1st February for the Euro zone.
The updated german pricelist has been already posted on TRF , so the Schipol Ad is correct.

There are price rises in Europe on Feb 1st. This might be Gassan as they are talking about Schipol.

Not sure if it is just Eurozone or across EU and UK as well.

I was in the Rolex boutique at the Doha airport yesterday pricing a 178241 for my wife. Unsolicited, the salesman offered that there would be a 5% price rise next week.

At least my investments are going up in value, sure glad I own Rolex

Too bad people would have to buy them with devalued currencies

I'm currently in Germany. Visited 3 ADs and all confirmed that prices will go up on Feb 1. Btw, I was looking for a no-date sub and it's sold out everywhere.

Or , as the synic in me thinks, they are holding them back until Monday to get more cash for their stock

If you think the prices in Canada are ridiculous now, wait til next week! Several rumours predicting Canadian prices will jump more than 10% or more due to the recent currency devaluation.

On the other hand, you could consider that Canadian prices this week are a bargain, go buy your Sub NOW, and congratulate yourself next week on the bargain you got buying before the price increase!

With the significantly fluctuating denominations globally, anything could be possible in any specific country globally, but highly unlikely in the US.

A Feb 1 price increase in Hong Kong is also strongly rumoured, and the HK$ is pegged to the US$. And lux watch sales are down here over the last year.

There have been so many price increases in Canada in the past year or two, it's absolutely ridiculous but I'm sure people will continue to buy. I miss the days when I was buying usd at 1:1 or even less!!
