Rolex DJ TurnOgraph-keeper for the future? Or not?

Hi all, sorry in advance for the long winded question.

I need some advice from long time Rolex owners and lovers. I am relatively new to owning Rolex, 3 years or so. My first purchases were a 36mm white dial, w/roman numerals Datejust 116200 and then a Datejust turnOgraph, slate dial w/red second hand & datewheel. I have just got some new (old) pieces coming and I'm really stretching myself to do so. So one or both of the above have to go. My question is really about the TOG, I can let the DJ go although because it was my first, it has some sentimental value and would rather the TOG go first...
BUT!! This brings me to my question.
My TOG is perfect condition, and although the TOG hasn't been a necessarily collectors piece in the past, do you guys think it may become one in the future or am I in fantasy land and should let it go and put towards the 1680 I have incoming?

I'll keep the TOG. DJ's are a dime a dozen.

Keep the TOG. I have both and would keep the TOG if I needed to reduce the herd.

Tough choice.

I would say keep the TOG. I doubt that it will ever significantly increase in value. It's not a particularly common watch, but I also don't think it has very high demand on the used market. Certainly not on this forum.

Doesn't mean you can't keep it and enjoy it and pass it down the generations.

I prefer the TOG, but keep the one you prefer. Like most modern rolexes, neither has any predictable promise of greater future monetary value than the other IMO.

TOG is a great watch unless you don't like it; in that case get a watch you do.

The Turn-O-Graph is a great piece.

I'd hang on to it, if I were you.

I kept the TOG

When something had to go when I got the 116610 LVC it was the 16220 datejust that went ( my first Rolex) and the 116263 TOG stayed and it gets a lot of wrist time
Cheers

Thanks everyone for your help.
Datejust went, Sub 1680 came and TOG stayed. Got a 1978 1680 with original 9315 folded links bracelet, with both inner and outer boxes, some papers with the original 1680 caseback sticker, not punched guarantee unfortunately. Very happy
Pic to follow.

That TOG is spectacular! Memories and personal sensibilities have their place, but the reality is that TOG is one helluva nice watch. An amazing balance between sport and dress.

usually one adds the appropriate code in the body of the response. Something along the lines of {img}link{/img} where the { } is really [ ] and the link is the address for the stored picture.

I think you made the right decision keeping the TOG. As others stated. DJs are much more common than a TOG.
