I can hear Homer Simpson's voice in my head, but he is not saying "Dooo--nuuut", he is saying "Tuuuuuuuu-mmmiiiiii". They make great stuff!

You can sign up on their website to be notified of sale pricing, Paul. May be worth doing!

Funny, we were just in a Tumi store looking to replace an old roller carry-on. Nice things.

Just added two more tumi alpha 2 bags to replace their crap tegra line. I have a briefcase and some travel accessories but I draw the line there. I'll buy my sunglasses and clothes somewhere else

Looking good

If Rolex made jackets, how many TRFers would get one? I might consider it, as long as label is on the inside only

I wonder who makes the Tumi puffy?

I have the Tumi dopp kit in the link which I got as an anniversary gift from a previous employer. It was listed on the employee website, and I saw it for sale in a retail store for $115 or so. It now sells for $135. It's a great kit and I quite like it.
However, a couple of years later I saw the exact same bag with a Calvin Klein logo on it at Marshall's or TJ Max for $15. I inspected it carefully and the only diff was the logo.

You are buying a logo unless Tumi makes the product. I like Tumi products. I have several. Tumi does not make puffy jackets. But they surely do sell them at ridiculous profit margins. All retailers do the same thing, I suspect.

Tumi designs and manufacturers all their products and then outsource the manufacturing. The sad reality, like most US companies, is they moved their manufacturing to China. Tumi entering the coat and sunglass market is the standard evolution of many luggage companies that preceded them. Goyard, Prada and Louis Vuitton started the same way. Samsonite started doing it about 10 years ago

However, Tumi doesn't do private label so the Calvin Klein was a cheap copy of Tumi's design.
