Polar exploration, Ross Sea Party
I figured there may some intrest in this because of our own member Toomuchtalk.

That sorry right there, the 1914 expedition lead by Schakleton, is the greatest story ever told. Once you read his book "South" you'll realize you're a wimp compared to those guys. Three years down there and most of it trapped, without a ship, WALKING, then sailing a lifeboat to Elephant island. Three years in the worst place on earth, unsupported and he didn't loose a single man. Not one. Amazing
