Advice on buying a Rubber Strap for ROO
Hey Folks,
I know this subject has been covered, so I apologize for any redundancies but I have a bunch of questions and I have done research, but would like some specific advice here. I would like to buy a rubber Diver Strap for my inbound ROO Gray 26470ST. Questions:
I have seen in some past sales threads that people have sold the straps with the steel "plots" included.

Email APSC [email protected] and get these parts.
You don't need new plots and strap changes are pretty straight forward by removing the strap screws with two (believe they are 1.4mm) screw drivers. BR.403.683.004CA- Grey Rubber strap in regular length $291 AD.0442.024.ST.R- 24MM steel tang buckle $364 |

Is this strap originally made for the diver or ROO? |

That is correct. The tang buckle that comes on these 42mm chronos is smaller. This strap is for the diver so you need the larger diver tang buckle.
It's well worth the money. They strap is much more comfortable that the hornback and the grey rubber is actually much more soft/pliable than the black rubber strap that comes on the diver. The color matches the dial perfectly and I doubt I'll ever put the hornback on again. Congrats on the new AP |

Chad, I ordered an extra set of plots, simply, the changing of plots from one strap to the other is a real pain. If you have a second set of plots, you are simply just removing the screws that hold the plots to the lugs on a strap change. ....super easy. If you only have one set of plots, you need two screw drivers too hold the screws on one side and turn the other side as the plot screws are held with a screw into bar combo. My advise, get another set of plots with screw set, well well worth it. Order from clear water all of the above, don't bother with the knock offs, you won't be saving that much. Good luck.

You don't need to change the plots over to swap the strap. The plots stay on the case, and just the strap is removed.

I am heading to Tampa this Friday and while I am in town I am swinging over to Clearwater to check out APNA and have my strap switched out on my RO. If I can be any help while I am there let me know. I can take photos of different strap colors (if they have them) and send them to you.

Personally, I didn't have a problem popping the strap screws off myself, but would consider the two sets of plot option if cost wasn't a big deal. |

you can always go with the black rubber for the ROO and won't need the extra buckle ;)

Sorry to hijack, but do you really need to go the plot route, it appears to me that just two screw drivers and the screws in the band itself will allow band to be removed. Thinking less chance of scratching metal, if only working with screws in the band material.

Does anyone have the product code for the navy xs strap? Will simply email AP if not, although I heard they can be finicky about selling parts/accessories to people if they don't have the specific watch serial number that corresponds.

Just email Clearwater. [email protected] I've heard that other countries are strict on straps, buckles, etc but Clearwater has helped me change every strap on every offshore I've ever owned. GP, schumi, grey diver, survivor, lady RO rubber and tang buckle, etc. The only thing they wouldn't do is put a ceramic bezel on my SS diver and elephant...but I still ask over and over again. Even tried to get them to sell me just the ceramic bezel On the elephant pic above they actually suggested the strap and buckle option and wanted pics to show other customers how good it looked. I'll also add they AP has serviced all but 1 of my watches and had no problem with the strap/buckle changes. |

I actually just emailed the address above (thanks guys) requesting a white strap which I plan on trying on both my 44 ROO FC + 44 ROO RG.. I've seen the RG and it looks amazing on white rubber strap and I think the FC will look striking too!

The plots cost $46 each. Then the set of 4 screws and bars was $65.00 I believe. I remember the plots and screws together was about $270.00 . Well worth it, made swarping straps a cinch.

I've been in touch with APSC and it looks like they will be taking good care of me. One last question. Finally got my ROO in hand. Absolutely loving it! I'm on the 3rd tightest hole of the strap and it's still a little roomy.
Keep in mind it is about 5 degrees outside, summers in NY are hot and humid. Should I order my rubber strap in Small or Regular? Thanks! |

I'm 6.75 wrist and found the small strap to be too small with very little tail showing through the keeper. I went with short strap with tang buckle one side and reg strap on other side - fits perfect👍 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
