What's the very FIRST thing you do...

....when you get up in the morning?

I'm usually up by 5.00 or so and the first thing is to grab my Subby and do a quick time check for accuracy!! I seem to have a built-in alarm system that automatically wakes me up a couple of minutes before 5:00 so I have just enough time to check the watch with the time signal BEEPS on my little pocket radio (less noisy at that unearthly hour...don't want to disturb the others! )

JJ, seriously? The first thing you do to start your day is check the accuracy of your watch?

Um, okay... I guess you get the award for most dedicated (read, weird) WIS.

First thing I do is get my daughter changed and dressed.

Cheers - JJ

Actually JJ, I've been up at 5 a.m. every day for the past few weeks. Seems C's internal clock did a daylight savings shift long in advance of the real thing. I have to convincer her it's still night time and hope she falls asleep for another hour (which she usually does not).

How is she now? I mean that problem she had. And how did she respond to Dr. Irani's treatment?

I usually wake up about 10 minute before my alarm, I grab my 16610 to check the time, yup it's 6:10. then i tuck my watch under my pillow, ( because i'm too lazy to put it back on the night stand), and wait 10 lond minutes until the dang alarm goes off.

From that post, I've come to ONE conclusion - you DON'T need an alarm!!

JJ, I too am one of those early people 0455 every weekday. My wife also gets up with me we have coffee and we talk for about 45mins then I'm out the door at 0600. I tell you if I'm not in bed by 2130 or 9:30 p.m. I'm dead in the a.m.

Ah...so you're one of those "early to bed, early to rise" sorta guys, uh? But are you also "healthy, wealthy and wise"?

JJ, I thought the first thing you did was sneak the sheep out before Zemina woke up.

That would be too awkward, Craig. In reality, he goes out to the fields so he can sort of "spread the wealth around" so to speak.

The first thing I do when the alarm goes off at 6:05 AM is to hit the snooze button for another 7 minutes of dozing. Been doing that for more years than I care to count or remember.

If I am awake at 0600am, I call the fire Dept. If I'm awake that early, the house must be on fire

Me, I usually roll over and tell Andie that Dylan needs her.

Seriously though, I usually get up with lil D and get his breakfast ready. I mix in a pee somewhere in there, the watch is already on the wrist (usually a Panny since they glow like no other) and whether it is 6:01 or 6:01 and 22 seconds is not relavent and that point in my life.
