Watch Shopping
Went to pick up a new 116622 with blue dial yesterday.
1st time I tried it on - wasn't thrilled. I feel like the brushed plat bezel made the watch dial look smaller? I was really feeling the YM and then perhaps grabbing a black dial 216570 and snatch up both for 14k. Same 14k I can pick up a 116518 (paul newman black dial, champagne sub dials is what I prefer). Hmmm. Decisions. I just was not thrilled with the way the YM looked on my wrist. Thoughts, ideas or suggestions? LV sub, LV sub, 116515 chocolate dial, BLNR on jubilee, 16570 polar.... the YM was going to be a nice PCL addition to the mix but... maybe not :( |

Have to try several on and buy what speaks to you, I like the RG YM but that's over $14K.

RG YM doesn't work for me- i have the RG Daytona on Rubber B and that watch is 100x hotter than the black dial, matte bezel YM.
Oh, and the RG YM doesn't fit like Everest or Rubberb fits - so that's totally wacky, right? |

The YM bezel is pretty large. The Champagne Daytona sounds like a good move, on strap I take it? Maybe sell one SS for the bracelet version.

Well, first of all, you are very wise for trying before buying. If it doesn't work, then you've saved yourself some time and money.
As for what's next...hmmm. With a 515 I don't think I would add a 518, but that's me. As Neil suggested maybe trade the 15 and/or a SS in for the bracelet version...it's stunning. For somewhere in the 14k niche you can also look at a SS YM2 (on the secondary market), if you are looking for something with PCL's and some wrist presence. |

I'd go for the Daytona or SS YM2 - the YM2 sits really nicely on the wrist and I've seen few in the wild.
No bad decision here mate!

this is all really good info. full yg or rg gold bracelet is a little much for me.
i'm not ready to rock the platona lol. but although i have the rose gold chocolate face, i thought a yellow gold daytona would give me that YG in my line up, and i can put it on a black rubber b or perlon. |

Wait til something speaks to you. Sounds like none of the above is the best choice for now.
