Crown position and tightening

Hi,
Needed some advices from experience owner.
1) the AP logo on the crown don't line up horizontally with the case. Is this a defect?
2) do you tighten the crown till no movement with all force using thumb and index finger or should I use a pliers to ensure waterproofing.

Not a defect, and do NOT use pliers to tighten! Finger tight is plenty sufficient to ensure it to be waterproof.

How about a few more pix of that bad boy? We/I don't see enough of the White CE ROO's.

Step away from the tool kit!

They virtually never line up and I would consider yours a good result as it's not upside down. (Which bugs me)

Hand tighten and not too hard either. It is not meant to withstand a great deal of torque.

Dont be tempted to use your impact wrench either

Hi guys,
Thank you for your information. Now I know that I don't need to tighten the crown like plumbing works to ensure waterproofing.

I hardly see white diver too. Wondering why not many owners.

A few more pictures....

Looks great. I think it's a more modern look and looks better against some skin tones than others.

Enjoy it

Mine tightens upside down--annoying, but I'll live.

Anyone else almost pass out when you read pliers? Glad you asked. Gorgeous watch, by the way.

Nice white ceramic. A little trick, just reserve the crown a little bit until it aligns with case. You will have perfect AP logo. Not need to tighten all the way.

By reversing the crown to align the logo I am worry about water getting in when swimming.

I am paranoid about water getting in that's the reason why I want to tighten it real tight using a pliers. However many friends in this forum thinks it is not necessarily.

As for the crown logo I really hope AP pays attention to align it. With an align logo the watch looks a lot better. I am sure AP can do it if they want to. This is a small improvement which greatly enhance the beauty.

I will only use my thumb and index finger to tighten using the correct way as advised.
Cheers :) :) :)

Never pliers! Only a pneumatic wrench set to 75 ft/lbs!

your only snugging up against a seal ,,, not too tight at all ,,, thumb and ring finger , not thumb and fore finger , and you wont overtighten anything , if in doubt take it off for swimming etc
