Perlon strap for the OP39 114300

Hadn't seen a picture of one, yet, so I decided to take the plunge.

I like the look.

What I learned:
- For me removing spring bars was tedious, requiring a steady hand and good eyes (i.e. magnification).
- The perlon strap is really thin. This one came from Wrist and Style.
- Perlon straps are comfortable, as comfortable as the Rolex bracelet but not near as easy to slip on. I've used watches with buckles without problems but for some reason the buckle on this perlon was frustrating to work.

Bottom line?

I liked the look of the perlon and I still like the idea of changing colors for variety. I understand the attraction and why some really go for them. However, for me, I like being able to just slip my watch on without the hassle of that aggravating buckle.

So, back to the original bracelet for me.

OK, I'm lazy!

I only really like straps with deployant clasps. Reduces all the risk of dropping the watch while buckling. It does look good however from a color perspective. I don't like the general weave of the Perlons too much.

Desperately trying to find the tweezer like tool used to remove the bracelet. Can you share where you got this from. Many thanks in advance.

I have such a love/hate relationship with Perlon straps. They look awesome in photos but the clasps are so flimsy.

Got it from a cooperative AD. I think he had second thoughts after it came in. Let me know it was NO PROBLEM if I decided not to buy it.

. . . and he was not the AD I bought my two Rolex watches from.

Can you show us that pesky buckle?
Was it the material that made closure more difficult?

Sorry for the delay.

Here ya go!

Mostly it's difficult to pass under the second bar. Hard lift the bar up enough to pass the strap through. Especially while you're trying to balance it on your wrist and working with only one hand. Material's not a problem.

It's possible other manufacturers may be different. This one is 20 mm in dark gray from Wrist and Style. Got it through Amazon for $14.95.

Buckle's so much easier.

The OP39DR made the Easter rotation today. Really enjoy the way it looks and feels on the wrist.

The Perlon straps are a great fit because you can decide where the strap buckles without having to stay within the confines of pre-drilled holes. This promotes good blood circulation, as well as mental clarity.

Old thread revival time!! This really looks fantastic! I have a white dial OP39 with multiple grey straps. I'm not sure what color perlon would look good with it.

+1 for deployant clasps and straps but is it possible to put deployant on a fabric strap? Seems like you are limited to leather and rubber.

I always wonder why people would want to make their €5000 watch look cheap with a perlon or nato strap. And in case you didn't know, perlon ruins your caseback
