GMT II TT 16713 or should I go for 116713 Ceramic TT?
What's up guys! Would love some advice!
My addiction to Rolex is just beginning and I love the GMTs. I'm going to get an SS 16710 later this year. A few months ago I picked up my first Rolex a 1991 GMT II TT 16713 in excellent condition as my weekend watch and love it!! But now the ceramic TT is calling me, should I swap for the ceramic?

I like the pure white date on the newer model. Also the bracelet clasp and ceramic bezel makes it a yes from me.

I have had both five and six digit references of this watch.I much prefer the upgrades of the ceramic.A big plus for me was the larger triplock crown. The older twinlock I found a bit small for my big clumsy fingers

I prefer the new ceramic but do like the gold script on the older one.

The improvements on the ceramic make it absolutely worth it.

Not a TT fan here, but i would go rootbeer over current issue, if you prefer that look. Then again a bunch of improvements might make it worth to upgrade, especially for a daily wearer, and thats when i would stick to steel (and the 16710 is a cola flavor). But that's personal...

Some don't like the bolder lettering on the ceramic bezel. I personally prefer it. I think the bracelet is nicer on the new model.
How much do you use the time zone function afforded by the bezel? Assuming you do the 24 click ceramic bezel is a major improvement in function. The only thing that would cause me to pause is if I had been wearing the 16713 for many years, but that isn't a consideration for you. I wore a Date Sub for about 20 years before giving it to my son for college graduation. I want to replace it but only because I wore that watch for so long I'm really gravitating to the LV just for a fresh take on an old friend. Follow your bliss, but in any event you have a beautiful watch there. And welcome to TRF, this place does this kind of stuff to you.
