I have the 104. Check out your local dealer and try some on - that's most definitely the best way to decide. Good luck, and post pics once you get it!

I'm not a big fan of PAMs but if I were to get one, I would only go for the 88 or 244. But that's just MHO.

You know you and I have the same simple taste in PAMs. Nothing fancy but just a plain dial. I recently got a 210 cause of the sandwich dial. The 104 and 112 and I think the 00 have painted dials. Also the Radimor is more dressy, which I needed then the luminors.

the other thing to consider is the manual v. auto wind. All have manual winds you listed except the 104. I thought I would try the 210 cause it was dressy and I didn't mind wearing it when I need to also put a jack and tie on.

Hope this helps, and with any choice, it will be a nice compliment to any Rolex collection.

I am a big fan of Panerai and own some fine pieces too ....

I would suggest the 104 or 112.Similar to Beethovens 5th,Panerais brilliance lies in simplicity.Bold, timeless, simple elegance !!

Great thanks to all the replies. As with MrCowboy99, I also find that the Radiomir are more dressy and suited to my taste, anyway, had arrange to see a PAM183 this weekend, may have to decide between this or the PAM210. Wish me luck.

210 seems to be very popular at the moment.Hard to find and rumours that its going to be discontinued, although the AD knows nothing about that.

when I went to buy my pam two things came to mind that were important to me. I wanted a watch that was automatic and displayed the date. I have a daytona and I wish it had the date. I love it so much that I put up with it but it would be better if it had the date.

183 is a great 1st PAM. Reasonable price, for PAM, good simple look. I have found the date function to be of little importance however have several models with it.

112 and 183

I went with 112 first and then got a 183 2 weeks later. Love them both, very clean and classic Panerai!

Although Ti is not my favourite metal,a 176/177 can look spectacular with a well matched strap

Your first Panerai

104 gets my vote it is an absolute classic. I have 3 pams in total but the 104 is special.

I originally was deciding between the 177 and the 104 for my first Pam. I couldn't make the choice; so I stretched my budget and got the 233. The 104 is a great choice...you will not be disappointed.

233 for your first PAM :) :) That's jumping in with both feet!! Great watch!!

Your can dress both Rads or Luminors up/down with straps. :)

You don't even want to know what my second Pam was.......

Unscramble: 9, 2, 4 lol

Back on topic.....my vote... 104, but take a look at the 177, it's in the same price range as the 104, actually $100 less.

You sure can...nice pair there. My 233 on a JV Strap; Cali on a Rob Montana VS3 leather to dress up, and on a #515 Zeugma Cali Special for a casual look.

Rgds,

Marc

i would have picked the 210, but the 183 would be the #2 pick. I started w/ a 104. Didn't last very long.

I think this Forum has no problems w/ the auto movements. Paneristi is biased towards manual wind.

Let's see how long you hold out before you get a Luminor.
