It was my understanding the Ewan McGrgeor and Charley Boorman wore Submariners in the _Long Way Round_, but recent pics in _American Motorcyclist_ show them wearing something else in the _Long Way Down_.

Your thoughts and observations, gentlemen?

Thanks for the alert on the film. Is it available yet, because I didn't see it listed on Netflix. We loved "Long Way Round"!

Nope... IMO Charlie wore a sub on the long way round... Ewan wore a few different watches. Then on the long way down.... it looked like they wore matching watches... not Rolex, sumthing with a material strap I think... I will post pics if I can find them! :-)

Ewan now wears a Panerai. Boorman sticks with Rolex. But then Ewan is in the with "fashionable" Hollywood crowd.

Charlie wore his personal Sub throughout LWR and in the first episode of LWD. Ewan wore a variety of different watches, including a Panerai in the first epoisode of LWD.

However, I believe they both switched to watches provided by sponsors once they started on the LWD trip. They looked like IWC Portuguese Chronographs from afar, but I could be wrong.
