Tudor 79280

Have been pondering this for a while - Rolex has ceased production of Tudor Prince Date. And I am after a work horse and something that the resale value will increase. The price of this model is moving up gradually..

I am after a black face 79280..the price, based on my 6 months of obversations, can vary from 2,500 to 4,000 depending on the color. I have exchanged emails with the ebay seller. He is not going to offer "buy-it-now" for 2K. What's the market price for this particular watch? The price seems to vary alot from place to place.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The meteoric rise of Monte Carlo and "Big Block" resale values has driven all Tudor chrono prices up. As the saying goes: "a high tide raises all ships". The last chronos drawing the major $$'s are the 791xx series. But that could change, up or down. The 792xx series, being easier to find, have increased but are not quite as favorable to collectors. And, if you like that particular model who cares? Buy it, enjoy it. They ain't makin' any more of 'em so they are bound to at least hold their value.
As far as a good price I'd probably wouldn't pay more than $2500.00 for a 792xx.
Good luck,
dP

I agree with DP.The TUDOR chronos are slowly climbing up in price, but its still at a very reasonable price.

They are excellent value for money.

Got 2 of em.
