No need for that "Rube Goldberg" contraption because there's a popular discount tool store that sells a proper crystal press for only $14! The problem is that if you want to use a genuine Rolex replacement crystal, the price through grey market channels is just as expensive (or more) as getting one installed at an authorized dealer with labor included.

I've done it, I do have the tools for it though.
I wouldn't come close to doing this on a Rolex if I didn't have the tools, honestly. |

I have access to a an incredible amount of watchmaking tools, so no I have not tried this method nor do I recommend doing it that way.
