Day Date Price and accessories 1995, Need Help
Hey guys i know I've seen it before but cannot seem to find it. Does anyone have a 1995 price list that would show what a 18238 msrp was then. Also does anyone have a picture of what a complete 18238 should come with. What specific box etc.
Many thanks in advance ! |

Hi,
I can help with some of this. I'm in the UK, and in my collection of catalogues have an Oyster one from 1996 with a price list printed in July of that year. The 18238 retailed for £10,430 at that time. For most of 1996 the dollar/pound exchange rate seems from some Googlings to have been about 1.5 dollars to the pound, which more or less meshes with my memory of the exchange rate at that time too. Now obviously it wouldn't have been a straight dollar=pound price conversion, but that gives you at least an approximate ballpark figure of $15,645 dollars. In terms of what a full 18238 set looked like when bought new from an AD in 1996, sorry, I can't help you there. Hope this has at least been somewhat useful for you ! |
