Have it down to those 2

Sea dweller, smaller lugs, it has a little weight behind it which I like... It looks like a sub but not as popular.. Only people who know watches can tell diff between that and sub.

Daytona ceramic... Well it's a Daytona... Fits incredible feels nice... No to many in the wild... Then again I will someday want an ap chromo, so cool..

What to do?? As a daily beater

Sea Dweller. The Daytona to my eyes with the ceramic bezel looks like a Tag, especially the white dial.

You could have a long wait for a Daytona SS Ceramic! You could purchase an SD and spend the next 4-5 years saving for the Daytona whilst you see on a list 😄

Both? Get Sea Dweller first and save up for DaytonaC (it's supposedly a long wait like Woody said).

Not too many in the wild? I'd say almost zero at this point. Keep in mind you'll either have to wait a significant amount of time to get that Daytona C or get a deposit down today!

Two very different watches, as a daily beater I'd go SD. Also depends on what else you have in the stable. For me, I would love to get the Daytona C. I hope to get one once the dirt settles.

Agreed, 100%. Most people would not know the difference between a SD and a Sub.

I wear a Sub-C now and I think it is hefty enough. I have a small wrist so the SD will be huge for me. If I buy another Rolex, I will go for the white ceramic Daytona.

I'm biased, but I'd say go with the Sea Dweller and, if 'you're not completely satisfied,' move on. Personally, I don't find much use for a chronograph complication, so I'm not looking at the AP Chromo. But, the 39mm AP Jumbo is a different matter. Just sayin'

Ultimately, the Daytona-C will be more revered, IMO. As that may be a long wait, I would purchase a nice complete SD and get on the list for the Daytona-C. When your name eventually comes around, you can make the decision. If you prefer the Daytona at that point, you can sell the SD. Probably a no lose situation.

This would be my thoughts. Good to have time to save for new Daytona anyway... Having both is the way to go.... Imo if you must have one... I'd pick the SD anyway for function unless chronograph is necessary... For most it's just anesthetics... Date and water resistance is much more useful to most.

I have a SS Daytona, which I love, but I also have a SD4K, and the latter is my favorite watch.

Plus, the market for the SD4K seems to be soft, and you can pick it up for a relatively reasonable price and pocket other cash for an eventual DaytonaC pickup. 👍

Pick and AD that you have bought watches from already, then buy the SD4K and hopefully you'll be on the list of clients that they will call when they get the new Daytona in.

Buy the time they call you, you will have already enjoyed your watch for a couple of years.

additionally... It depends on how comfortable you feel with them on the long run.... The SD is a bit heavier (which you say you prefer).... I personally like the fit and feel of the Daytona...
