Tourneau Gift Card Dilemma
So I'm going to share a dilemma with you guys that I'm having right now so I can get some advice.
A friend of mine has offered to sell me a $9300 Tourneau gift card for $7000. After some negotiating, I got him to agree to sell it to me for $5500. I could not pass up this opportunity to save $3800 off on a watch, so I bought it. Now, this is news to me as I'm located in Boston where Tourneau does not sell new Rolexes, but they apparently are an AD and they do sell new Rolexes at two of their NYC locations. So now I need to figure out what to buy. I'm supposedly on the list for the new ceramic Daytona at my AD, but we'll worry about that if and when that call ever comes. What would you buy with a $9300 Tourneau gift card? I'm not opposed to the idea of spending a little more either, but nothing too crazy. Watches I'm considering: BLNR or TT-GMT |

I'd buy in Boston - get pre-owned model to avoid immediate depreciation. And perhaps go for a gold Sub?

Wasn't really considering used because the Tourneau pricing on used Rolexes is a lot, but would consider the right watch I suppose.

Strange situation. Between those two, BLNR hands down. I like steel.

I would buy the card. That's a great deal. My personal preferince is the GMT BLNR, standard GMT, or the Hulk. Any of those would be a steal at $5500!

If you could somehow manage to get a deepsea Blue that would be another AD score! Otherwise the BLNR or HUlk would also make for great msrp watch purchases with your gift card.

A friend and you still knocked him $1500
If it was a friend of mine then I would of advised him if he needed to turn the gift card into cash to buy a BLNR and sell it on. But then this all depends on now loosely you use the term friend, if it was just someone you know and if he was happy with the price then well done |

You'll get more bang for your buck with an all SS professional model since Tourneau will likely not be discounting anything. BLNR is a great choice. D Blue if they're willing to give it up.

Tourneau I think is the only place I've gotten to see the Blacpain Bathyscaphe where I live. So I'd probably buy that.

BLNR hands down. Great friend you got there.
Wish I had your problem.

Lol you guys, put the pitchforks away!
It is a good friend of mine, but he's helping his father sell it it, who apparently won it in a giveaway. Looks like a lot of love for the BLNR, I'll have to try it on in the store and see if I like the way it looks on the wrist. But I think I'll like it because of the PCL's. |

If your AD will honor the tourneau gift card, then to me it's a no brainier. I'd hold it till You get the call that your Daytona is in. Why rush?

General consensus seems to be BLNR/Hulk. Considering I already have the Hulk, looks like I'm going to have to try the BLNR out.
Does anyone know what the current MSRP on the BLNR is? |
