Icon7 New Purchase!!! Need Advice!

Hey Guys!

I just got my first Rolex for Graduating college (Young one here) and I need some advice! But first some obligatory pictures.

I paid $4,000 for the watch from a family friend who is a jeweler and he told me he'd buy it back at that price at anytime. My issues with the watch and where I need some advice are that the cyclops is obviously misaligned, and that it is an older model (S Serial which dates back to 1993).

What I'm seeking for advice is how do I go about getting the crystal realigned properly. Furthermore, If I was to trade into the newer 116610 with Ceramic what do you think I could get on this for a fair trade in value. Do you think it would be worth it?

Thanks as always! You guys are the best.

Probably better off to just get a replacement crystal. Maybe ship it off to RSC and have it serviced with a crystal replacement. Watch will come back looking new and you'll have an awesome watch for years to come to mark your graduation ..

I say keep this one and enjoy it vs a Sub C... Make a Sub C your next one :)

How much would that run? At that point I'm not sure if the watch is worth it haha.

For all black submariner, older Sub looks better than SubC.

How about take that cyclop off. You don't need it at your age. Use for years and do a overhaul full service, then replace the crystal :D
