Dillema..!

Here's the situation:

Enjoying the new model AP Navy for 1,5 years now. Great watch!

But... I am getting the 44mm steel ceramic offshore whatever hapens later this year. Prefer the looks and ceramic bezel. So this is a no breaner.

I am thinking of trading my 2014 Navy plus cash for a precious metal piece.

So what shall I do???

Yellow gold Rolex Yachtmaster 2

Or:
Around 8K more and get:

Rosegold 44mm Offshore

If I go for the Offshore it means that I have both steel and gold version of this watch.

Or is there something else I should consider?

I like BIG watches (no Hublot fan)

Here are pictures of my two candidates taken at two different AD's.
The YM2 pic was taken 2 weeks ago and the AP about one year ago.

All suggestions/advises are welcome.

CHEERS!

Beautiful pic!

Between those 2: AP >>> YM2

You get a date, and the timing function is more useful on the AP

Plus, IMO the AP RG looks much better than the YG YM2

I prefer the YM II on your wrist. If you are going PM go all the way.

I don't like the YM. If you were thinking all gold sub that would be different. I like the AP much more. Thay all look great on you.

Dillema..!

If big matters most, you'll get the AP. Also think you'll get more use out of the chrono vs regatta countdown timer.

But if the YM II does win out, have to say the WG model has some appeal with its less busy bezel/dial contrasts.

Not my pic

The 44 RG is the top dog here so that is a must for me. I'd get the YM2 in SS or even better TT with RG, for diversity, but if you have 2 44s, I gotta say, brother, you feel no pain.

The AP over the YM2 no question, but I'm not so keen on having 2 of the same model in different metals. If I were in your shoes I'd likely keep the navy and get the 44Rg or if you are dead seat on getting the 44SS, I would trade the navy + cash for the all RG Royal Oak Chrono. Win win.

That's what I thought too before adding the 44RG to the 44FC I already had. After having both, it doesn't even feel like the 2 models are the same. The difference in color, dial, and material really makes it feel like they are completely different.

To the OP. 44RG all the way. It's really a beast of a watch and you will enjoy it much more than the YM. Good luck on your decision!

Success!!!

To put it this way the YM is blingy and not very classy, the AP is also blingy, though less, but very classy, when I tried one on I really liked it, and I usually am not interested in watches with complications that I will not use, and chrono is one of them, but this one has awesome design, the fact that you can see a finely made and finished movement on one but not on the other is also a positive factor for me, I know you look more at the front, but a nice back always puts a smile on my face, quite like women actually

Dillema..!

I would get the sunburst gold submariner to add variety to your collection. It's much nicer than a yacht master IMO. And a stunning piece. Plus you get a gold bracelet instead of a strap.
