Trading in my 2tone GMTIIC for AP15450
Hi TRF,
Is has been a longtime since I post. I recently bought a Rolex Hulk and I don't want to have two Rolexes. The AP I like is the Royal Oak 15450 and I want to trade in my GMTII for it. The AP is pre-owned and cash from my end also. This would be my first AP and worry about service cost and reliability. What are the pros & cons of owning AP? Thank you for your time |

All Pros however you are stepping up in horology. AP vs Rolex the rolex is more robust. When buying pre loved be aware that older models may require a service and this should always be considered in the purchase

Have you tried on the 15450? It's 37mm, so I assume you like smaller watches?
Great watch and brand of course. All depends on your lifestyle. Might want to consider keeping GMT and adding AP. |

Hi Paul,
I tried on the 15400 and it wears bigger than my GMT. I have not try the 15450 hoping it will compliment my small wrist 6.25". |

The Hulk? The GMT complications are much more useful and it's still waterproof to 100 M... Plus the Hulk is not as versatile as the GMT C 11... IMPO... Days like Christmas and St Patrick's O'Day is only once a year ... So you can see , unless you have a lot of green in you're wardrobe the hulk is pretty much obsolete!!! |

I would try on 15300 before you pull the trigger on a 15450. 37mm may feel a little small.

You might want to wait a little bit before selling your GMT, I had the Hulk, loved it when I saw it on other peoples' wrists and after a really long time, maybe 2 years decided to get one, was very happy at first but after 1 month I really didn't like it very much, so it is not a watch for everyone, wait to see if it is really made for you, it is not an easy watch to wear

If you keep 1 Rolex then no issues at all with adding an AP. As for size the 15450 wears smaller than a GMTc, the 39mm is closer like the 15300.

i think this is good advice as well as not buying until you try both the 15300 and 15450.
