My first ROO need help.

I am looking to purchase my first AP ROO and I could use some help. I would like the case in the 41-43mm range and prefer a rubber or alligator etc. bracelet. I am open on dial and it does not have to be the chronograph. I would like to keep the budget between 10k-15k please help educate me on the best values out there for me. Also resale value is a big consideration. Thank you for the help.

From my experience; 10-15K puts you into a pre-loved AP Royal Oak 15XXX series. They all come with steel bracelets (could be wrong), so if you want leather, or rubber - you may have to look into the ROO line up. I've seen a few of them here (previous models) that were priced in the 13-15K region. With regards to resale; all AP's if cared for with respect and well maintained will hold a very solid re-sale value, so be sure to buy something you like as opposed to something you feel will sell for more down the road.

Cheers

Thank you for the advice. That brings up a good point. I can be a little hard on my watches. Lots of boating and diving. How do they hold up? I have never had a problem with Rolex but have had problems with my Corum Admirals Cup and my Zenith Defy.

You're welcome.

So far I've had a good experience. I'm not sure you want to use an AP as rugged tool watch, but they are built with some of the highest standards in watchmaking and seem to have a solid reputation.

Sounds like you should be hunting down a ROO Diver...plenty of them around for good deals and over all solid watch!

i exercise and do some manual work with the ROO...anything heavier like outdoor sports i switch to the rolex...that said the most deadly thing i have found so far is my Apple laptop.

Diver, for a ROO chrono the Panda will have best resale as its the most popular but you will have to pay more to buy it.

Another vote for Diver. Simple, classic, versatile.
