"Daytona 500" ?? Official nickname?
With all the other silly nicknames why has "Daytona 500" not stuck yet for the new ceramic?

I do like that. Good use of the 500. Clever.
Unfortunately it may be a little too literal. Gotta go with something a little more obtuse. For the life of me I can't figure out how Batman actually got any traction. |

I can't see how it makes any sense -- looking at Batman logos does not make me thing "BLNR." If anything, the 116713LN is more "Batman."

I've called it Daytona 500 since its unveiling.
Daytona-C won't work since several PM Daytona's already had ceramic bezels. I guess it could be a Daytona-SSC but that car class has been retired

Nicknames need to come about -vom- "organically". Otherwise it's trite and cheesy...

I like the "Daytona 500."
It really says everything about the watch that needs to said to distinguish it from previous SS iterations. You just need to add a color.

I like Daytona C500. It's like a vitamin C, makes our body healthy but bad for the wallet

Daytona 500 is fine by me. It's quite obvious.

Daytona 500 works for me too...
Now I just have to chase one down, though I am undecided on the color. I have several black dials so maybe a change is in order. |
