Typo in the first para. 9104 should be 9401/0. I am a bad person

Great read. Thank you for posting the link.

I think the non date variant 9401s are harder to find than the 9411s/7021 with the date. Just my opinion.

Going apples to apples, I think 7016 are easier to find than 7021 but in agreement that 9411 are much easier than 9401

That is interesting. I am not so familiar with the 7016s. Some have SF dials and others I have seen have round lume plots. I think it's also easiest to find a clean dialled 9411 than the 7021. Better paint I suppose. Maybe it's the trip lock too?

A ton of Rose dialed 7016s out there, probably comparable to flake versions. Agree on the clean dialed 9411 -v- 7021.

A few shield 9411s to make it interesting ;)

And I still stand by the reasoning that there were shield dialed 7016's in II 68. I've owned two of them.

Also just read it. Well done. Couple of things.

1. 9411's go as early as 1973 (I have one with a 793xxx serial #).
2. Late production run 9411's came with 2783 movements and silver date wheels. I've seen numerous examples of this combo from 82-83 to discredit it.

I am not sure what/who a "MQ" is but you are talking about the aftermarket bare case towards the bottom?

I believe he is. MQ is Minh Quy, a vintage dealer/aftermarket part seller from HK or Vietnam, I can't remember. And yes, that case is all wrong including that horrible insert.
