Anyone seen the new PAM 1312?
I just have, two days old....... New blue second hand, lighter weight than the 312 and new movement.

Obligatory wristie. I'm very tempted but not enough to move from the 533. Only six and a half weeks to my birthday

Not for me..... There's another thread on this watch, so I'll just keep my opinions to myself here and not get worked up. ;-)

The 'fake patina' you refer to, is that what my uneducated Paner-eyes (see what I did there? ) see as the tan coloured numerals and markings on the hands? That's one of the things that drew me to the 533

To be more fair to the 1312, it came out at the same time as the new "Due" line, which was/is so disappointing, I couldn't help but think badly of the 1312. At least it holds on to 100 meter water resistance (compared to 30 for the "Due" models ). I don't remember if the 1312 is snapback like the "Due" models, though. I still think the 1312's ecru with blue highlights won't match as easily with all sorts of straps, but that's personal preference. For me, the all-ecru look of the 533 is definitely preferable. |

If I go for a second Panerai, which I suspect I just might, I may try and pick up a 312. They did say in the boutique tonight that the 312 will very soon be discontinued

Already planning out the second. I like it! With the 533, you'll have an awesome 10-day auto movement with date and GMT complication. For the 2nd, you could also consider a basic manual wind PAM for greater variety. Like the 372, 000, 232, 643, 177, etc. |

I'm researching into what I like for my next one but my favourite style hands down, hair down, pants down, is the Luminor 1950 case with crown guard. A bit samey I guess but things like the Radiomir, whilst very nice, don't blow my skirt up. Not so much a fan of the Submersible either

Doesn't this have a slightly thinner case profile? I've been trying to find one to try on at the AD's. No luck yet.

To my eyes, that is a much better looking piece than the older 312.

Normally, I would agree with you but the 1312 is a replacement for the 312 so it makes no sense to maintain both in the stable

Maybe it will take me a some time to get used to it, but I am not a fan of the blue seconds hand either. Kind of defeats the purpose of going for a clean look dial...as was the main appealing feature of the 312.

Awesome, if someone has both 1312 and 312, please show the watches to non paneristi and play the 'spot 10 differences' game, they'll give up
