Anyone wearing a 499?

I'm getting ahead of myself here but I'm thinking of a second PAM (I haven't got my first yet!).

I don't have anything with a white dial and I think it would make a nice change and a great addition to my stable. My ideal reference would be a 312 or 1312 with a white dial and the 499 (or new 1499) seems to be the closest option

499 > 1499 (well, I know you like the ecru lume, but, are you certain about ecru on the white dial? I think the 499 looks better.).

That's why I'm asking the question, mate

I'm pretty sure I'd prefer the 499 and would like to see a real world photograph of someone on here wearing it, not a web shot. I'm not sure about the blue second hand either but it looks less offensive than it does on the 1312.

If you search "PAM 499 wrist shot" on Google Images, you'll get a bunch of hits.

Personally, my first choice for a white dial would be the 113 (manual, modified ETA, seconds hand) with the second being the 561 (manual, in-house 8 day....with the "8 days" on the dial, I prefer the balance of the base dial to the 563, which I find too busy with 4 lines of text, the seconds hand and the white dial markers).

Some great guidance there, Cru. Thank you

Having now had a good look, I'm not keen on the 113, 561 or 561. I'm beginning to think I prefer the 321 to the 499 too. Oh boy

Ah, a set. Very nice but not looking for a set. Many thanks, Cru

I think I need to pick up the 533 first . As much as I love the Rolex references that I have, I wish I'd discovered Panerai sooner. It's the only brand outside of Rolex that has interested me.
