Your second-choice watch?
I have pondered this question many times. Those of you that have collections of different manufacturers timepieces don't really have to think about this... but let's say you only had a Rolex, or your collection was soley Rolex. A metorite passes close to the Earth, and it's unique metalic magnatism causes all the world's Rolexes to fly in to outer space... and no more can be made...ever. Ok, so it's a dumb scenerio but you get my point. If you could not have a Rolex what is your second choice watch?
I think I would go with... Brietling?.... Hublot?.... Omega? Question of the day to ponder: If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, why did it fall in the first place? |

Considering that I pretty much alternate between my GMT-II and this,
I guess I would say the Breitling Olympus would be my second choice.

That would be a tough call. For me, either a VC Overseas, AP Royal Oak or an IWC Ingenieur. All in SS with silver dials.

I love the Omega Speedmaster and the Breitling Navitimer but I think I would have to go for Blancpain. Specifically the Fifty Fathoms.

I wouldn't go for any other high end brand. But would do with some Hamilton, Ball...
Oh yes, and some vintage Tudor as well

Only one brand? Omega.
If I were buying from scratch and there was no such thing as Rolex, I think my watches would be a SMP and PP - maybe a JLC Reverso until I could afford the PP.
