What a great talent... he will be sorely missed!

I love his classic line, "...might as well call it Whitejack!"

It made me realize how frail life is and that we must make the most of it. I'm close to his age and can just hope that I'll retain my health, he was suffering of a crippling disease.

My son and I enjoyed the Bernie Mac show. He had a way about him that was just plain hilarious.

I couldn't believe it when I read it. I knew Bernie Mac was really young too. That just goes to show how fragile life is, and to wake up, and live life to the fullest everyday.

Wow, I didn't know. I figured he just got sick and would recover. Very weird. Now, who the heck will do our Lotto commercials in Illinois?

Frans,

My thoughts exactly. I am only 48yrs and recently recovered from having pneumonia for about 5 weeks. Coughing up blood and the whole thing. I was as sick as a dog. Now back at work which is good. Life is very short and precious.

Man, that's crazy. So sad. He reminded me of Robin Harris (if anything he probably modeled his persona after him). Robin died too early in the sleep from sleep apnea back in the early 90s.
