Platinum Dial YM Discontinued ?

Was at a local AD yesterday and they told me that the PT dial YM was being discontinued. Any validity to this statement?

Were you looking at one? It sounds like a bad sales pitch to me. Rolex don't pass that kind of info onto dealers.

I've heard this story as well, on here, a few months back. I have no idea if it is true, but I think it would be a huge mistake. The platinum dial was the original and prototypical look for this piece for a long time. It would be like not offering the Submariner with a black dial. I've said many times, I love that they are adding several dial variations for this model. It seems like they are positioning the model to really be a viable alternative to the Submariner for the buyer who wants a watch for watersports, but also wants something he or she could dress up.

Woah. I'd be surprised. They seem to be making a few different dial options lately though..

Same thing. Also discounts available and can be had for less than $10k in USA. Maybe its time for a YM.

I suppose the new rhodium is pretty similar so could be true.

I've heard that as well from the manager of a Rolex boutique.
