Best desk diving Rolex?

I do not pamper my watches, however, I do take exception to desk diving since a scratched up clasp bothers me. It happened to me once before and I had to replace the clasp due to Rolex logo completely worn out.

Do you wear a designated Rolex desk diver, do you wear long sleeves, swap the bracelet, don't care or do you embrace desk diving?

It never really bothered me with my Sub or GMT Pepsi.

However, when I had my milgauss with PCLs it bothered me and I made every effort to avoid the small scratches

Sitting at a desk has never been a place I was worried about messing up my Rolex at.

I work at a desk all day, and my clasp does not get scratched to bits. Perhaps your desk set up is wrong. I have a pullout keyboard tray under the desk and the portion that my wrists rest on is padded.

anything with a NATO.

agreed, any clasp gets ruined rubbing against desk obstacles as you type away and go through your office days motions.

Jubilee band is good to "hide" scratches a lot better than the regular Oyster bracelet, specially if you buy the superjubilee variant, which as the hidden clasp

What is your definition of the word "best"?

I wear all of my watches and they are frequently at my desk.

I replaced all of my office furniture to soft material just to avoid scratching the crocodile strap attached to my deep sea diver.

For those of us who are retired, what the heck is "desk diving"?? And is a Submariner required to do it?

They are all fine. But if you want to get in the weeds - something with a brushed bracelet - explorer or subc let's say

GMT or Sub and if you really don't want any damage you can always put a strap on either of those and you're good to go. But i wear my GMT everyday to work so i guess its my designated desk diving watch.

Wait until you damage your watch REALLY badly then you won't give a damn about those desk scratches.

It cured me

It does not matter, wear it like you own it.

On my very first Explorer back then, I was scared of any marks and scratches that I put it in the pocket, until it fell out and dropped on to the cement floor
Point taken

I still have that watch and a small dent still shows, it was serviced and runs perfectly COSC.

ive sat at sound desks , and lighting desks , at school desks too , the rest ill just leave to others ,, turn your watch the other way round ,, face in , and by the time youve worn away a saphire crystal you wont be worrying about much of anything else.

Clasp scratches bother me as well... I think you're way around it is a jubilee bracelet or just change the Rolex bracelet to nato.

I work at my desk all day with my gmt II on my wrist. At first it bug the heck out of me bc of the PCL... but after another than another desk drive or battle scares. I decided to let that go. The AD and the non AD strongly informed they all can be removed when time is up for service. Which is in 10 years. LOL.

The only thing I don't like is when my bracelet scratches on the area next to the trackpad on my MacBook. I don't care about the potential watch scratching, but the sound/feel is a bit like nails on a chalkboard to me. I've been meaning to stick some kind of different material to my MacBook in that area.

I usually don't have an issue. Maybe try a mouse pad under your wrist?
