116655 or 116628 what would you chose?
Hey guys so what rolex would you rather have? I know its a matter of opinion but I just wanted to see what everyone thinks!
Long story short- I just ended a relationship and I got my engagement ring back! I no longer want to have this ring sitting around and I am going to be getting rid of it and buying a new toy for my wrist! I am going to lose a bunch of $ on the ring, but hey it was an expensive mistake. I LOVE the 116655 and I think its one of the most amazing watched rolex has ever come out with, its not too flashy and i like that. the 116628 is a little more flashy and I am not sure I would wear it everyday, BUT I saw one the other day with an everest strap and I could wear that everyday, plus I feel like the 116628 is technically "worth more" due to its actual gold weight. I have had a submariner, a president, and I liked the way the submariner sits on my wrist the president is too small. how do you guys like the yacht master? are they are comfortable sporty watch? thanks guys! so what would you chose and why! |

Much rather have the 116655 and do! No contest IMHO but to each his own.

if you want an all gold watch with gold bracelet go for a sub, dd or daytona. ym rose gold on oysterflex is top of the line.

I would go for the 116655 for sure! Sorry to hear about the broken off engagement. The $ loss on the ring is nothing compared to divorce so you're still ahead! ;)

I have a SS sub w date and its nice, but everyone has one. I feel like the yacht master is under rated. I love the white face and gold combo, plus you could always throw on one of those everest rubber bands with the yacht master and that would match up nice on the black band, almost like the rose gold 116655 |

i think rolex is trying hard to put YM in the map. There are plenty of Rolexes that I would buy before YM, but if u have to decide for one of this two I would go 116655
Cheers

The "28" is too bling-bling for me so here's another vote for the "55".

Aren't all gold Subs around 17-20k? Ive seen the all gold YM go for around 14... one that I like that is pretty rare is the YM all gold, MOP dial with ruby markers, I think it would be too much as an everyday but its a nice unique combo! |
