Bikers in New Zealand (topless)
Topless biker parade ruled OK in New Zealand
Article from: Staff writer August 20, 2008 12:00am TENS of thousands are expected to flock to Auckland today to watch topless women riding motorbikes after a New Zealand judge dismissed a council's attempt to ban the parade. Judge Nicola Mathers threw out Auckland District Council's attempt to gain an injunction to stop the Boobs on Bikes parade down Queen St. The council said it broke a new bylaw allowing it to ban offensive parades. But Judge Mathers said in the Auckland District Court yesterday that it was debatable whether the bylaw was legal, and whether the parade met the legal threshold of offensiveness. Parade organiser Steve Crow, who also organises the R18 Erotica Expo held in Auckland over the weekend, said the decision was a victory for common sense. He also said he would be challenging the council's bylaws. I guess we will not be hearing from JJ today.

Now JJ will have a real dilemma. Watch the Olympics, watch the Boobs on Bikes, or play with his sheep.
Talk about a Hobson's choice.

Don't you just love the New Zealand legal system, and the judge was a lady too

Further evidence that he's only using "watching the Olympics" as cover for his real reason for his recent TRF curtailment. He's out shearing around the udders as we speak!

In Vancouver here, a couple of years ago, some gal, challanged our law that men could go topless & women could not, in public.
She won, so it is now legal for women to be topless in public. Every beginning of summer, a local radio station gathers a few gals & they ride our Skytrain from one end to the other ( about 45 minutes), every year the cops try to arrest them. Maybe next year I will try riding along, just to observe the cops, honestly

Does anyone else here find it unusual that Steve was able to locate the pictures and post the link so quickly............
Might be the detective in me??? Hooters come to mind.. Also, please take into consideration JJ's blase attitude about missing the parade and claiming that he was was at work........Yeah right.....My I think we should be seeking some alibi evidence from JJ to corroborate his story...............
