Yachtmaster rhodium discontinued??

At the AD today. Sales lady said Rolex sent out a statement that they weren't going to make anymore rhodium dial yachtmasters already. Anyone else heard this? Maybe meant platinum dial? Sales tactic? Just checking what people know.

You mean this?

Had it on at my AD yesterday. They told me they were selling a lot of them.

Only Rolex knows. Seriously doubt a new model would be cancelled. I could see the platinum being discontinued with the gray dial rhodium model doing well.

wouldn't make any sense to me, barely anyone has seen it yet.

i think they also had a TT Rhodium dial YM previously... not sure if that's already been discontinued?

She said Rolex sent a statement. I don't know. Assuming it might be the platinum dial. Makes no sense to discontinue a model announced 5 months ago. Either that or just slimy slimy sales tactics.

Wouldn't be the first time an AD salesperson didn't have a clue what was going on. Who knows though?

My salesperson told me last week she heard the platinum dial was going to be discontinued, which is a rumor I've seen on TRF. I'm sure if one is going to be discontinued it will be the one that's been around longer than a few months.

Perhaps they were selling too fast?

If I had a dollar for every boneheaded thing a salestron said...
I'd have a Platona by now
