Jocke - My Current Bathroom Almost Completed!

IMG_0320.jpg

Jocke,

Almost there. Could be another several weeks yet. The idiot that measured the template for the stone bench top stuffed up. There was only a 5mm overhang at the front whereas the Ensuite stone top was a 15mm overhang. It's not rocket science! They are getting a new stone bench top at their expense, but it could be a couple of weeks away.

The bath and taps were fitted a couple of days ago. The shower screen and mirrors went in today. All the downlights etc have been fitted and it really lights the entire bathroom up. The little recess behind the toilet has small black granite feature tile 'sticks' and is lit up with its own little downlight too.

I'll be bloody glad when it's all over. Apart from the issue with the stone bench top I cannot fault the work. The company expects very high standards from all the trades people. Those they don't measure up quickly are given the boot.

Thanks JJ. I am that much closer now to getting that SS GMTIIc when the renos are completed. Mind you for an extra 2K I would consider buying the new DSSD.

Good job Michael. It will be nice to not have to use that slop jar anymore when I come over.

No matter how many basins you install they will all be hers. I finally gave up and installed a full bath in the basement.

That is an amazingly beautiful bathroom. Can I shower there some day?

You have done a fabulous job and everything looks state of the art with nice clean lines. You will be proud of this for years to come. Definitely want to see the completed project.

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Buy a professional camera and you´re a professional

Thanks to all for the kind comments. Where do I start with replies?

Joe, my door is always open to you. I said my door, not my wife.. I have kept the 'slops jar' as I know that you feel quite at home with that. I wouldn't like you to break your routine...

Terry, you are most welcome, but JJ got in first with showering comments sometime ago. The down side is that you'll need to shower with JJ. On the upside JJ has a new shower back scrubber. He's patented the design and name. It's called "Sheepish"...........
