Rolex ref.4498
Hello, does anyone on here have any info on this watch? I was able to date it to 1948 or 1949. Nice dress watch. It keeps perfect time and has had a recent service. It appears to be the original finish, well that's what the person who sold it said.

Love the case! Beautiful watch. Wish the dial was original.

I think the crown might not be correct. Take a look at other 4498 pics on Chrono24...

The dial has been refinished.

I've been on the hunt for a nice 4498... How practical and durable are these beauties for everyday office wear?

I wear vintage (70-90 year old) watches around the office much of the time, myself...
