To Prolong the Lifetime, Loosen the Strap a Little Bit while Wearing Leather Strap..?

Guys,

In order to prolong the lifetime of leather strap, the AD informed me that I should loosen it a little beat while wearing it...That would prevent the strap from overstretched...

Would this really prolong the lifetime of the leather strap??

Regards,

It will on your strap Syahril as you have the pin/tang buckle. Wearing it tight will stretch out the hole and cause separation of the layers in the strap around the hole. Seems like sounds advice to me.

loosening a leather strap will most certainly will prevent it from stretching but personally i prefer to wear it however i find most comfortable and if it does stretch over a number of months just start wearing it in the next hole

that said my AP strap has not stretched and i have worn it relatively snugly for around a year now--in comparison other leather straps i have owned showed signs of stretching after a couple of months
