Daydate rare dials! For Collecting!
Hello RolexForums!!
I'm looking for a daydate for collecting! I have found this 3 daydate that I really like! Looking for price range around 10.000 £ 1. http://www.watchcentre.com/product/r...bp-18238/11652 2. http://www.watchcentre.com/product/r...nts-18238/8779 3. http://www.watchcentre.com/product/r...ate-18238/9929 1. The first one (Tigers eye) Seems really cheap I think... The dial seems a littel dameged.. 2. The rare wood dial needs papires but still a really nice watch! 3. The Diamond Ruby Champagne dial looks really nice, but also needs papires! But I really like it a lot! Is that dial original rolex factory? What do you guys think is the most rare or going to be the most rare / most collectible over time? And does papires mean a lot? And the best buy! I'm new in Colleting but I already own a nice 16520 Daytona A-serial and a 16610LV F-serial.. both with papires and boxs.. Hope someone can help me! |

I personally prefer the stone dials. So my vote would be for the tiger eye dial. But prefer onyx or lapis lazuli.
The malachite dial is a little too much for me. The wood dials are nice as well. Close second choice. I personally do not like diamonds on my watch. And it has been my experience that they do not sell as well. I am sure part of that is regional, but they do not seem to sell as well at watch shows as either. The exact order I gave you.
I believe there is a Chalcedony stone dial (if I am correct )would be the rarest of the stone dials. SS sports models have been more collectable in the past, and I would guess that trend will continue. If you are really worried about collectability. Okay thanks a lot! I see what you mean with the ss sports models... Maybe a 16700 gmt master would be better for collecting.. Or a 14060m
